On The Edge London touches down today

Tim Gibbon, director Elemental By Tim Gibbon

The new one-day digital marketing conference On The Edge (OTE) London powered and hosted by UK Marketing Network (UKMN). UKMN, the 7,000 strong online community for marketing professionals is a vibrant forum encompassing industry news, events and discussions. The learning and knowledge-led debut event kicks off at the Congress Centre, London entering this space without a heavy sales environment with selected exhibitors. Instead it focuses upon delivering nine presentations from both agency and brands with the welcome and introduction by Charles Nixon, founder and chairman of Cambridge Marketing College.

With a mix of agencies (such as AKQA, TBG Digital, Wunderman) and from client-side (brands include Barclays and Red Bull) the conference strikes a balance in delivering the latest best practice from channels such as digital marketing, mobile, PR, search and social media. In addition to hearing directly from brands and how to apply real life experience, for the rest of the day they can glean experience with case studies from agency land including Audi, Ferrari, Nike, Unilever and XBOX 360.

Image of manon the edge for On The Edge London digital conferenceOTE has produced an agenda that allows the platform for networking opportunities with the attendees including Barclays, BA, Fabric, Google, Huddle, M&G Investments, Selfridges, RBS, Fabric, Sky, Virgin Media, Vodafone and Wunderman. Guests can expect to take away a full days learning in addition to what is billed an inspirational talk from Frank Dick OBE, ex-Great Britain Olympic coach; the latest search engine optimisation (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC) guidance, how to maximise the use of online
video, how to harness mobile technologies and more.

With nice sweeteners like CPD points, a goody-bag, coffees, lunch and a copy of Ajaz Ahmed’s (founder of AKQA) best-selling book ‘The Seven New Laws for a World Gone Digital’ what’s not look forward to for the rest of the day? Confident in the quality that the conference will deliver, the hosts boast that if the event doesn’t live up to the hype there’s a 100% money back guarantee…so no pressure then.

Having experienced a great morning there’s a good buzz, so we’re looking to get stuck in for what’s ahead. Follow everything On The Edge London @OnTheEdgeLive and #EdgeLondon. Or, there’s the live Twitter stream below.
