Corporate social media specialists to meet in London

If you think you’d seen the best of the social media events this year, you’d be wrong. Conference organisers Useful Social Media are set to host its third The Corporate Social Media Summit Europe 2012 from 06 Tuesday to 07 Wednesday November 2012 in London. And, if you miss this one, you’ll miss out.

The conference provides marketers the platform to share best practices in the largest corporate-focused social media conference of the year.

 

Run over two days, Useful Social Media will see brands including American Express, Lego, Siemens, BAE Systems, Microsoft and Caterpillar discuss how social media strategy can be used to enhance and strengthen a brand and how a return can be realised. It’s rare to have so many brands in one place to discuss social media, so we’re looking forward to seeing and hearing how what they’ve experienced this far, hopefully without too may agency handholding. More importantly we’re keen to see what credence is paid toward social media and if many of the usual debates have moved on.

 

No doubt there will be presentations from speakers that allow brands to bask in the glory of social success from building brand loyalty, content creation and strategy, crisis management, customer management, engagement, social measurement and so on. It will be interesting to learn if and how brands share when things don’t go so swimmingly. It appears there will be balance from taking a peek at the agenda and subject matter that will be tackled, so we’ll let you know. Heading into 2013 and yet another challenging year ahead from so many directions, I’m wondering if the conference will give us an inkling if social media will dominate and be featured in the way brands undertake above, below an through-the-line marketing. Perhaps we’ll gather more insight about this during the week?
