The X Factor: Social media and the live shows infographic – Week 3

Rachel Hawkes, account director, Elemental By Rachel Hawkes

Just before the fourth live show, taking a look at how the social media stats measure up for last week’s live show, can we use that to predict who will be in the bottom two?

As I said in my blog post over at The Wall, if a contestant isn’t connecting with viewers enough to have them head to their social media profiles, then it’s not a stretch to think that they aren’t inspiring them enough to pick up the phone and vote – which costs money.

The numbers below represent the number of fans that each contestants Facebook and Twitter fans grew by during Saturday’s performance show.

WEEK 3

  1. Sophie Habbis - 6,160
  2. Janet Devlin - 5,501
  3. Johnny  Robinson - 5,150
  4. Marcus Collins - 4,203
  5. Frankie Cocozza - 3,175
  6. Misha B - 3,070
  7. Craig Colton - 2,418
  8. The Risk - 2,341
  9. Rhythmix - 1,602
  10. Sami Brookes - 1578
  11. Kitty Brucknell – 1479

WEEK 2

  1. Janet Devlin - 10,378
  2. Frankie Cocozza - 5,719
  3. Sophie Habbis - 5,587
  4. The Risk - 5,036
  5. Marcus Collins - 4,840
  6. Sami Brookes - 4,686
  7. Misha B - 4,569
  8. Johnny  Robinson - 3,469
  9. Craig Colton - 2,568
  10. Rhythmix - 2,392
  11. Nu Vibe - 1,927
  12. Kitty Brucknell - 1,391

WEEK 1

  1. Frankie Cocozza – 9,057
  2. Janet Devlin – 6,008
  3. Marcus Collins – 4,106
  4. The Risk - 3,656
  5. Craig Colton – 3,580
  6. Misha Bryan - 3,211
  7. Sophie Habbis – 3,138
  8. James Michael – 2,687
  9. 2 Shoes – 2,553
  10. Amelia Lily – 2,440
  11. Rhythmix - 2,292
  12. Nu Vibe – 2,238
  13. Jonjo Kerr – 1,943
  14. Samantha Brooks - 951
  15. Kitty Brucknell - 812
  16. Johnny  Robinson - 780

With the exception of Week 2 when Sami was in the top half of the pack, the other weeks have seen Sami, Kitty and Rhythmix in the bottom half.  For Kitty and Rhythmix they were in the bottom three in Week 2 and Week 3, and perhaps unsurprisingly Kitty (given the public have yet to warm to her) has been bottom two for all three weeks.

Given that, my prediction for the bottom two this week will be Kitty and Rhythmix.

Having a look at the Week 3 Infographic below, what are your thoughts?
