15 Online e-business Communities Combine For Giant Christmas Party

15 Online e-business Communities Combine For Giant [The Red Side] Christmas Party at the Propaganda Bar in London

This Christmas, 15 online e-business communities, representing more than 80,000 registered users, have come together under the name ‘The Red Side’ to create the biggest and best party of the season.

Ashley Friedlein, CEO of e-consultancy, who came up with the idea comments: “We’re calling this The Red Side because we want people to come out from behind their firewalls and party. It’s time we all got together to celebrate the good things about being online – one of the best of which is the sense of community and passion for the industry we share.”

The Red Side
began with just four communities (e-consultancy, netimperative, Ecademy, Chinwag) but grew to become a ‘network of networks’ including a further nine communities with a combined invite list of 80,000 registered users. Those also taking part are: 160characters.org; Beyond Bricks; electronicpublishing.org; e-mint; e-womenforum; Metrocube; New Media Knowledge; notjustanotherfailing.com; Ryze; The Glasshouse; Online Content UK.

netimperative is organising the party, which takes place on 5th December 2002 at the Propaganda Bar in London. The doors open at 6.30pm and the party lasts until 3am. Tickets cost £15, and include two drinks at the bar (courtesy of MP3.com Europe, Thai food, tequila shots, all to the accompaniment of the finest DJs in new media land with every ticket sold giving the holder the chance to win big prizes at the party.

Tickets can only be purchased in advance and online, so if you want to attend go to http://www.netimperative.com/theredside/index.jsp, to get your ticket before they sell out.

Prizes have been donated by Firebox, urbanassistant, Speak First Training, Step - Beverley Robinson, Leaping Salmon, Barbara Ford-Hammond, The Magic of Networking, Saxon 1050, Adtech and include a pocket camcorder, Burn Rate game, £100 firebox voucher, free membership to urban assistant, free training courses, hypnosis sessions, tickets for the London Eye, mentoring, pair of designer shoes, 3 course dinner for two and a lifetime supply of apple juice (actually just a couple of cases)!
