Egovision Delivers Hong Kong Legends Website
Major Overhaul and Redesign Designed to Make Hong Kong Legends Website the First Place on the Web for Martial Arts DVD and Video Titles
Online strategy, design and development agency Egovision http://www.egovision.com, have delivered Hong Kong Legends DVD and Video website http://www.hongkonglegends.co.uk, which aims to be the one stop place on the Internet for martial arts titles.
London-based Egovision were appointed in August 2002, with the brief to revamp the existing website which was difficult to use and out of date. The Hong Kong Legends website is built in Apache running PHP and MySQL; with Egovision's own online content management system [CMS] and affiliate programme managing the enquiries and orders through an integrated system.
Egovision worked closely with Aitch:creative, Medusa Communications' offline design agency, who provided the brand guidelines, style and design for the new website. The official launch is set for 24 February 2003, with this being the first phase of an integrated system that will take care of all ordering, CRM and fulfilment management.
Nick Wills, Creative Director at Egovision explains, “Hong Kong Legends has only been soft launched for less than a week, and they have already seen a significant uptake in sales. Using our own content management system meant that we were able to implement a host of new services including affiliate management, trailers, ordering and enquiries functionality, and still brings the project in on budget and on time. With the core elements in place, it means the website is in position to become a true application service, underpinning the whole order and fulfilment process.”
Paul Teal, Direct Marketing Manager at Hong Kong Legends and Medusa Communications and Marketing comments, “We are very pleased with the system that we now have in place. Not only does it put us in direct control with all aspects of our website, it also provides the foundation for a much improved ordering process.”
Teal adds, “The new site is already beginning to bring in an impressive uptake in orders and we expect greater things, when we begin to push the website and products more aggressively. We are pleased with Egovision's delivery of the project, and are looking forward to them rolling out the subsequent phases to complete the website and CRM and e-CRM overhaul.”
