Elemental to share social media experience at Cross Media

Tim Gibbon from Elemental to share digital experience and how to embed social media across an organisation at Cross Media next month


London, UK ---- Tim Gibbon from communications consultancy Elemental http://www.elementalcomms.co.uk is to appear at the Cross Media http://www.crossmedialive.com/ conference next month.

Cross Media, organised by Informa Exhibitions, is a two-day exhibition and conference to be held at the Business Design Centre in London from Monday, 03 September to Tuesday, 04 September 2012. Tim will be on a panel entitled, “Taking social media beyond the marketing department: How to embed social media across an organisation” which will take place on Tuesday, 04 September 2012 in the Digital & Direct Marketing Theatre 2 from 14:45 to 15:45.

The panel and Q&A will be moderated by Ian Sullivan, CEO at Paperhat Conscorcio, with the fellow panellists joining Tim being Jonathan Brayshaw, director at Original Agency, James Carson, digital strategist at Bauer Media. Ian will open the session, and then open up the floor to questions. With the panel representing both agency and brand side and experience across a variety of different industries, the audience have the platform to ask questions that they may not normally have an opportunity to.

Thankfully, more of a consensus has finally been formed that, overall, it should live within the organisation with representation supporting those efforts. Although there are strong arguments that that social media should sit in the marketing department, its remit should be more involved than this. As we’ve discussed for quite some time, social media should be flowing throughout organisations integrated seamlessly with not just customer services, marketing, PR etc., but every facet of the business.”
