Greenlight and WebtraffIQ partner
Greenlight the search engine marketing consultancy and WebtraffIQ the web analytics agency partner
13 March 2003, London, UK ---- Greenlight the search engine marketing agency have signed an exclusive one year partnership with the web analytics agency WebtraffIQ.
Greenlight approached WebtraffIQ in November 2002 to see if there was any scope for a ‘partnership’, blending web analytics and search engine marketing (SEM) and the associated mediums.
It became apparent very quickly that both parties had a lot to gain from collaboration, and agreement was reached in late January 2003. Greenlight will begin to resell the WebtraffIQ service, reporting and analysis suite to existing and potential clients, enabling them to gain a better understanding of the contribution SEM is making to their website traffic and sales.
Marcos Richardson Director of WebtraffIQ comments, “With limited budgets and much focus on the return on investment (ROI), bringing back quantifiable and qualitative data is paramount to many organisations’ online strategy. This has always been one key element behind WebtraffIQ’s product and service, and when Warren Cowan, Managing Director of Greenlight approached WebtraffIQ, we were delighted that Greenlight wanted to promote this offering to their clients. Greenlight can now present clients with a clear audit trail of SEM, search engine optimisation (SEO) and other online marketing activities in a cost effective and efficient manner.”
WebtraffIQ will have the added advantage of being able to refer any clients wishing to increase their search engine ranking directly to Greenlight, as it becomes even more apparent that search engine referrals continue to account for a huge percentage of traffic generated to websites.
Warren Cowan, Managing Director at Greenlight explains, “We identified the importance of integrating web analytics into our search engine optimisation and marketing campaigns quite some time ago, due to the lack of confidence in the sector. SEM is still regarded as a black art for many, and we will demonstrate that it is not, and that in fact it is a solid marketing medium and channel, preferred to most as a cost effective and efficient service available to off and online marketers.”
Cowan adds, “Being able to visualise customer activity helps the targeted development of marketing activities and enhancement of specific critical areas of clients’ websites. With the strengthening popularity of models such as pay per click (PPC) currently afoot in the market, customers and account handlers will want to see exactly what is being delivered for the allocated budget. WebtraffIQ will measure and analyse online behaviour and response to marketing initiatives, whilst Greenlight will generate targeted traffic to those sites.”
Marcos Richardson comments, “Greenlight is taking steps that will revitalise the search engine marketing industry buy creating higher standards of service. We envisage there will be an unprecedented increase in our sales this year as organisations begin to gain a greater understanding of how they perform online, and take closer notice to their customer data.”
