HSBC Offshore Push its Grass Roots Online Marketing With Networx

New Media Production Company, Networx Electronic Publishing Appointed by HSBC Offshore to Push its Grass Roots Online Marketing

Networx Electronic Publishing the website marketing and new media production company have been appointed by HSBC Offshore Bank, to push its grass roots online marketing.

The six-month campaign that starts from late October 2001 and runs through to April 2002, involves search engine optimisation [SEO], express submissions, pay-per-click models and keyword purchases. Networx will be initially using MSN, Yahoo, AOL, Freeserve, Lycos, Ask Jeeves, Google and Espotting to push the SEO program.

The main emphasis of the campaign at this stage will be submitting HSBC Offshore to directories, portals and search engines ensuring that the correct pages are indexed. Networx will be addressing its SEO with the research and creation of meta-tags that encompasses title, descriptions and keyword development for relevant pages.

The campaign is to raise HSBC Offshore’s visibility on the Internet, increasing customer interest and acquisitions utilising its combined new and traditional channels. Networx’s campaign identifies that the Internet can play a key role in accomplishing the above particularly for an offshore bank, due to the nature of the medium being accessible from almost anywhere. For example, the online world is now a key resource where expatriates can socialise from all over the world at anytime, gearing the offshore website to project its services to an audience that wish to use them online, is just one step in reaching them more effectively.

Martin Huxford, Managing Director, Networx Electronic Publishing, explains, “With approximately 85% of Internet users make use of search engines, directories and portals, it’s vital for HSBC Offshore to be listed and ranked where their target audience are going to search for the services and products that they offer. More importantly, it’s crucial to be indexed throughout these resources correctly, so that it does not dilute their effectiveness by being in the wrong categories.”

Huxford adds, “It’s wonderful to be working with HSBC Offshore on this campaign after being involved with aspects of interactive design and development for the website over several years. It’s great to play a part in taking it to the next stage, to successfully help promote it online, and build the audience.

We expect to be addressing the very latest search engine promotional models to leverage HSBC Offshore in resources that inform their consumers about the information that they can receive from them off and online”.
