Edward ‘Teddie’ Cowell, Technical Director at Neutralize (*\*) delivered the introductory presentation covering ‘Paid Search’ a technique whereby businesses pay to gain top search engine top rankings. Other panelists in attendance were Chris Sherman, Associate Editor, SearchEngineWatch.com and President of Searchwise; Kate Burns, Head of UK Sales, Google; Chrys Philalithes, Marketing Director, Espotting and also Nick Hynes, President and Managing Director of Overture. Overture is the company recognised as inventing the paid search industry and one of the biggest Internet companies in the world.

Neutralize (*\*) were also lucky enough to be selected last year by Overture to become a member of their invite only Accredited Search Engine Marketing scheme, and as such are the only company in the south of England to be a member.
