Web design and development agency on-IDLE releases the first e-commerce website for Sto Ltd. supplying their innovative façade and VOC free interior paints direct to buyers in the UK

31 May 2007, London, UK ----- Web design and development agency on-IDLE (http://www.on-idle.com) has designed and developed Sto’s (http://www.sto.co.uk) first e-commerce website for its UK customer base.

The e-commerce website (http://www.stoshop.co.uk) will allow Sto to sell direct to customers, for the first time making a select range of products accessible to a far wider customer base, starting with the UK as a test market. Within the paint market, Sto research, develop and supply environmentally-friendly products each with advanced features in-line with their guiding principle “building with conscience”. The Sto range includes products such as StoLotusan Color, the world¹s first façade paint with the Lotus-Effect® and StoClimasan Color, an interior paint that uses light to break down odours (http://www.stoshop.co.uk/stoshop/interiorpaints/stoclimasancolor/overview).

Ané-Mari Peter, managing director at on-IDLE explains, “on-IDLE has delivered a fully dynamic e-commerce website and CMS with beautiful interface design that will make digesting the technical aspects of Sto’s advanced products much easier. We have built intelligent features like a Flash colour selector which enables consumers to purchase paint confidently online”.

What does “on-IDLE” mean?

on-IDLE” is a script handler from the Lingo language used for Macromedia Director. It is a handler that is activated when everything is down – when the computer is idle. The “on” command activates the application / tool / device again. Similar to a car idling, it is ready to go, but only when the handler is activated (gas pedal and gears) does it go. on-IDLE do a lot of trouble-shooting and updates on previously developed work for agencies and companies, making the name more apt than ever in today’s fast changing interactive environment. on-IDLE tease their customers with this made-up script: “on-IDLE go pub”, i.e. leave the problem with them and go and relax.
