20 March 2003, London, UK Kick-Starts Offline Advertising at Everton FC to Commence Their First Above-The-Line Push From the 15 March 2003, With Offline Advertising at Everton Football Club are to commence their first above-the-line push from the 15 March 2003, with offline advertising at Everton Football Club. The advertising, which runs from this weekend to the end of the season, will consist of two perimeter board treatments featuring the sites URL address, at the ground.

Oscar Nieboer, Vice President of Marketing at MGM MIRAGE Online explains, “We are always keen to explore new channels to drive awareness and recruitment - and as the football season draws to a close, more interest and excitement is always generated. The forthcoming fixtures at Everton FC, which is a club that enjoys a significant fan base, will be big games, and we expect to reap substantial interest from the brand awareness campaign we will be undertaking.“

The campaign sees the above-the-line advertising running at the 40,200 capacity premiership club, for five major fixtures and ending on 11 May 2003.

Nieboer adds, “As the prospect of living without football for anything up to 12 weeks is unbearable, the last fixture we have is Manchester United versus Everton which is sure to be a massive audience pull, fully maximising the exposure for the season league game finale”.

15 March 2003 Everton versus West Ham
06 April 2003 Everton versus Newcastle (PPV live)
19 April 2003 Everton versus Liverpool (TBC – a local derby)
26 April 2003 Everton versus Aston Villa
11 May 2003 Everton versus Manchester United (Live Sky)
