Ratio One build alliance with WebtraffIQ
Ratio One comes together with WebtraffIQ to offer web analysis to its clients
27 February 2003, London, UK ---- Ratio One, a provider of collaborative solutions builds an alliance with WebtraffIQ, to offer web analytics and email tracking as part of its portfolio of services to its clients.
Both companies have been working together since the latter part of 2002, and were originally brought together by a mutual customer for whom Ratio One was retained as the Intranet systems tester for the company, and WebtraffIQ provided web measurement. It became apparent that by putting these two skill sets together a fuller service would emerge.
It is envisaged that WebtraffIQ will be incorporating Ratio One’s knowledge of the following, assisting in the further development of WebtraffIQ’s products and services:
- Information audits Installation and Configuration
- Exchange and file share integration
- Security Backup and disaster recovery
- Remote and Internet access options
- Virus protection
In return Ratio One will integrate another service to its current offerings, which will be adding value into projects and developments such as: Website Development, Corporate Portals, Extranets, Content Management Systems. Furthermore, WebtraffIQ’s offering will be included in two key areas of the Ratio One project methodology e.g.
- Project Definition
- Technical Design Build
- Pre and launch Testing via WebtraffIQ
- Continual real-time testing via WebtraffIQ
Marcos Richardson, European Director at WebtraffIQ comments, “The benefits of adding our range of products and services to what Ratio One offers is a tremendous opportunity to develop WebtraffIQ in line with customer needs. We constantly strive to build WebtraffIQ, addressing what our potential and existing clients’ desire from web analytics and web metrics for future and current environments. With the increased use of customer relationship management (CRM) and content management systems (CMS), it is apparent that these sectors require robust and accurate web analytic products and services that are flexible enough to operate with them easily and safely.”
Max Aitken, Chief Executive at Ratio One comments, “The WebtraffIQ system will be integrated into our products and services, on a per project basis to help us develop new and existing projects that we work with. What is extremely beneficial is enhancing usability issues that we already adhere to and building it into CRM software we build for clients.
Aitken adds, “We believe that many other organisations will have to adopt similar processes as more useful data becomes available using services such as WebtraffIQ. For example, it’s crucial for us to see how individuals navigate and interact with Internet, Intranet, Extranet and related technologies, so that we deliver even more cost effective services at an even higher standard.”

About Ratio One
Ratio One has helped companies of all sizes build collaborative solutions for three and a half years. Originally founded in Oxfordshire, the company is now based in London, close to Tower Bridge.
Ratio One believes that the worth of IT investment lies in knowledge, rather than in hardware, software, or systems. Ratio One help people find use and manipulate this knowledge effectively in order to improve productivity. Effective collaboration helps dramatically improve results: this goes for employees on the same floor of a building or business partners spread across continents.
The company has been built largely on Microsoft server products. For collaborative solutions, the world's largest software company has other vendors beat: there's nothing as widely accepted, easy to use or as cost-effective. Where there are gaps, they have our own software modules and we work with an alliance of specialist solution providers.
WebtraffIQ is a real-time visitor tracking and reporting analysis product and service for business web sites and e-commerce enterprises. The system has undertaken a four-year research and development-testing period and is used by over 400 individual web sites.
WebtraffIQ provides a campaign tracking service which enables clients to see how various online and offline marketing techniques are working, in effect creating a rich picture of a web site's activities.
WebtraffIQ’s clients include: Business Link (Kent), City & Guilds, Eyetracker, Mando Group, Perceptor, Reuters Business Insight, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and Tiscali UK.
