WebtraffIQ to track The Interpreter UK movie release

Web analytics agency WebtraffIQ to track The Interpreter UK movie release website by End 2 End Media (E2E)

14 April 2005, London, UK ---- End 2 End Media (E2E) http://www.e2e-media.co.uk/ the digital marketing agency, have launched the international website for The Interpreter movie http://www.interpreterthemovie.com/.

The website is on behalf of Universal Pictures International http://www.universalstudios.com and UIP http://www.uip.co.uk.

The film, to be released in the UK this Friday, 15 April 2005, is driven by a marketing campaign featuring a website which includes information about the film (synopsis, crew, cast), downloads, movie clips and photographs. The website and a compelling online game for The Interpreter http://www.interpreterthemovie.com is being tracked by web analytics agency WebtraffIQ.

Marcos Richardson, European Director at WebtraffIQ explains, “WebtraffIQ is monitoring the performance of the website and also the visitor’s behaviour and how they interact with the site. The ability to forward the site and game to friends is a key feature of the online campaign and the success of this is something that can be monitored by WebtraffIQ.”

The Interpreter, a film directed by Sydney Pollack stars Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. It tells a story of political intrigue and deception that unfolds inside the United Nations, where a FBI agent (Penn) is assigned to protect an interpreter (Kidman) who overhears an assassination plot, and is the first film crew ever allowed into the United Nations building.

Andre Burgess, Co-Founder of E2E comments, “It is vital to us and to our clients that we have detailed and meaningful statistics at our fingertips in order to monitor the success of a campaign. WebtraffIQ offer a highly effective solution, and following this trial it is now our intention to use WebtraffIQ on future projects.”

The key period for the website is the two weeks prior to the film’s release and the week of release itself, which is when we anticipate the heaviest flow of activity on and to the site.”

Richardson concludes, “E2E require WebtraffIQ to measure the official international movie website, which includes an engaging and challenging viral for the UK release. It’s the first E2E project for us, and we are pleased to be involved in a theatrical (film) release for a potential blockbuster.”
