Acknowledge’s specialist areas Enterprise Computing, Internet Development, IT, IT Training, Java, and Software Development.
Acknowledge is known in the computing and IT community for delivering specialised training in areas such as web services, Java and XML. Having already been successfully employed by clients such as Autotrader Digital, HMGCC, Oyster Partners, BMWGroup, Datacard Group and a number of other large blue chip clients in the financial and investment banking sector, Acknowledge Technologies is breaking new ground in this field.
The Challenge
Established in 2000 by Dr Cleveland Gibbon, Acknowledge Technologies was founded to enable businesses to conduct effective ecommerce over the Internet and architect large scale mobile systems for the future. They implement this by providing intense training programmes specifically made to meet individual business requirements.Acknowledge appointed Elemental PR http://www.elementalpr.co.uk in March 2001, to promote their services within fiercely competitive technology and IT sectors. Acknowledge Technologies designs its services and product to suit and target business orientated audiences and has carved out its own niche, but to translate this with limited time allocated to media was the challenge.
Targets
Elemental PR focuses upon UK computing and IT trade and industry media. Due to the markets that Acknowledge works within, they consultancy also looked to international digital media.The audience includes senior managers that seek specialist high level trainers and consultants to deliver exceptional courses with work environment proven practical expertise and knowledge.
Results
To date, Elemental PR has connected Acknowledge to over 11 publications1, achieving approximately 23 separate pieces of significant and documented off and online coverage.In addition this, the PR consultancy secured a regular column in monthly PC Plus http://www.pcplus.co.uk magazine for Dr Cleveland Gibbon, Technical Director at Acknowledge Technologies from August 2001 to March 2002. For this publication, Dr Gibbon wrote Java oriented pieces, published in the magazine and was also published on CD that accompanied the leading Future Publishing computer monthly.
Conclusion
Although Acknowledge’s selective input reaps good results and builds relationships with computing, IT and technology watchers and freelancers. This ensures that they are a port of call for the media that they wish to be featured in, steering their business and brand in the right direction to remain visible to the right audiences.2005 will see the continued implementation of this strategy; reaching out to more broadsheets at a pace that Acknowledge is comfortable with, to connect with their target audiences off and online.
